Terms of Service
In plain language
- You own what you draw. We just need permission to store it and show it in the app.
- One prompt, one drawing, per day — that's the whole point, so please don't try to game it.
- Zero tolerance for abusive, hateful, or illegal content — report it, block it, and we'll act on it.
- You can delete your account at any time; we can suspend accounts that break these rules.
1Accepting these terms
By creating a Sketchy account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are between you and Chourouk Ben Messaoud, the developer of Sketchy ("we," "us").
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sketchy, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to online services without a parent or guardian, if that's higher.
2The service
Sketchy gives you one drawing prompt per day. You get one attempt — once you publish, that's it for the day; there are no do-overs and published drawings can't be edited or replaced. Published drawings appear in your personal gallery and, unless you choose otherwise where the app allows it, in the shared Explore feed alongside your username.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Sketchy at any time — including the daily prompt system, the Explore feed, or the app entirely — though we'll try to give notice for anything major.
3Your account
- One account per person. Keep your login details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Your username is public. Don't impersonate someone else or use a username that's misleading, offensive, or infringes someone's trademark.
- Give us an email you actually check — it's how we reach you about your account, and how password reset works.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This is permanent and removes your drawings, likes, and profile — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.
4Your drawings
You own every drawing you make in Sketchy. By publishing a drawing, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it within the app — to you, and, for anything published to the shared feed, to other Sketchy users — for as long as your account exists. That's it; we don't use your drawings for advertising, and we don't sell or license them to anyone outside the app.
You're responsible for what you draw and publish. Don't publish anything that isn't yours to publish, or that violates someone else's rights.
5Community & zero tolerance
Beyond that, please don't:
- Post content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users.
- Attempt to circumvent the one-drawing-per-day limit, or otherwise manipulate the app's core mechanic.
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to create accounts, publish drawings, or inflate likes.
- Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without authorization.
6Reporting & moderation
Every drawing in the Explore feed can be reported directly from the app — tap the ⋯ menu on a drawing and choose Report. You can also block any user, which immediately removes their drawings from your feed. Neither action notifies the person you reported or blocked.
We review reports and reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion, without prior notice. If you believe we've made a mistake, contact us at chouillustration@gmail.com and we'll take a second look.
7Suspension & termination
You can stop using Sketchy and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or harmful, or if we're required to by law. Where practical, we'll tell you why.
8Disclaimers
Sketchy is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working reliably, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Content in the Explore feed is created by other users, not by us — we don't endorse it and aren't responsible for it, though we do act on reports as described in §6.
9Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sketchy, including loss of data such as drawings or streaks. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you're a consumer resident in the EU, you retain any mandatory consumer-protection rights afforded by your own country's law regardless of this clause.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Sketchy evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Sketchy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
